Forums - Sony - Yakuza Remake August 2017 West. $29.99

I wish more publishers would be this reasonable with their game prices. I hope this sells awesome to prove to them it works.

Is that the first time we have seen the "PS4 Console Exclusive" on a case? - it is for me

Looks like Sega are going to be pumping out plenty of PC releases :)

Of the games I have Street Fighter V. King ofFighters XIV and Yakuza 0 have it.

"its just a box label"

Would be surprising if they start now bringing the Yakuza series to other plattform other than PS (this gen).

Hunting Season is done...

So, is this a proper remake or a typical poor remaster?

What constitutes a typical poor remaster? Confining myself to just this series alone, Yakuza 0 seems to have been well received as a remaster....

This game, is a remake, to say the least.

It's an actual remake.

Woah! That's cheap and a steelbook as well. Excited for this game.

Almost all of them. Simply increasing resolution, texture quality, and the geometry of a few models (such as those of the main characters) means it's a poor remaster in my eyes. I don't mind them, but hyping them for their minor improvements seems ridiculous to me.

Anyway, excellent! I've been somewhat interested in the series for a while, so this is yet another easy option for me to get into the series, should I decide to do so.

This is a steal. I would've been happy to pay $60. Yakuza series is awesome.

The way I asked that was kind of ass, so fair play to you. Not all remasters are created equally, but I've had great experiences with every one I've played. Remasters have been the way I've been introduced to some series like the God of War and Sly Cooper collections on PS3. Really, the vast majority I buy are games I've never played to begin with. Bioshock, Hitman and Uncharted are the only double dips.
