Forums - Gaming - PewDiePie goes Family Friendly

“No more swearing, no more sexual jokes and definitely no more Hitler jokes,” PewDiePie says. “I wish I was joking, I’m not. It seems that YouTube has made some changes and about a third of my videos have become demonetized. I’m going to have [to be] family friendly from now on so I don’t go homeless.

“I love money too much.”

He would make another fortune on Twitch.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

"So I don't go homeless" come on, he's a multimillionaire, how could he go homeless?

You'd be amazed how idiots can burn through cash.

What are the change to YouTube advertising he seems so concerned about?

Hmm, pie.

Youtube has started to crack down on offensive videos. So basically everything with swearing, controversial topics, sexuality will lose monetarization to appease their advertisers. As far as I know those videos are still allowed to exist though.

Right, makes sense. Advertisers have images to uphold.

Sure he would have been fine with the ads he did get but the bigger paying tickets might not have been there.

Well, up to him. The channels I watch generally stick to their stuff and generally don't try and adapt to get that sweet moolah. :P

Hmm, pie.

Will this mean his content is actually funny? Doubt it.

That video was actually pretty funny and sarcastic. Not clicking on Polytrash, so I'm gonna guess they didn't watch it all the way through.

Yeah, watching the video, it's obvious that he was being sarcastic.
