Yeah, just judge a whole religion with over one billion of believers over some terrorists. Good Idea!

This is your post that agreed with me that is the religion of peace.

Am I missing something?

Well, you clearly stated you didn't say which religion we are talking about after my post so I have to take you by your word.

But we all know what you are trying to imply with your posts and others already stated that this is a poor point.

Look, we both know which religion is responsible, why are you beating about the bush?

because there is no religion responsible for this. As far as I know there is no religious book from a big religion including trucks in their scriptures.

It does include directives to murder.

Some are saying it's not a problem in Western countries. Is it a problem for the Bataclan victims and their families? What about the San Bernardino victims and their families? What about the Pulse night club and their families? What about Ebba Akerlund? Was it an issue for her? I don't judge the whole religion, but a healthy segment of the followers currently have a monopoly on terrorist activity.

With so much sympathy for refugees are we forgetting that it isn't just Assad they are running from?

Yes the West has its share of guilt in military strikes and such, but it doesn't absolve jerks who take trucks and run over crowds of people while targeting children.

This is why I'm an anarchist. Either governments are killing people or groups of people with dreams of establishing even more authoritarian governments are killing people.

People dying of heart disease doesn't absolve these factions of guilt and neither does statistics for suicide, murder or car wrecks.

What should we do? Should we make buffalo wings illegal? Automobiles? Depression?

According to reports the man was denied asylum and was never kicked out.

That is a major problem with the open border ideas...Once you invite people in, its impossibile to kick out the undesirables.

Sweden doesn´t have open borders, where did you get that idea? Out of all immigrants that apply for asylum, a huge amount is denied and returns to their country. Sometimes some people stay but that is the reality with every country on earth. More could be done to identify these individuals but you can never have a 100% safe system.

OT: A sad day indeed and hopefully this will help increase the number of polices we have in Sweden. In the past we even had neighborhood police officers, we need to get back to that kind of mentality. These terrorists are a problem, whether they are foreign like in this case or native born like in Norway several years ago.

There are a lot of religious people from different religions causing trouble so it is still not clear.

At least we are in agreement that it was caused by the religion of peace.

A religion never causes terrorist acts to occur, just as a car isn´t the cause for a car crash. Both are means in the hands of humans that is the driving force behind. Critizise religion (I do it all the time) but never take away the blame from the people behind these events and put it on a text in a book instead.

Because the how is always secondary to the intent.  By this logic, certain black marks in the history of Christianity should be off the hook b/c of never being specifically referenced in the whole Bible.  I mean...I don't see anything about the torture devices mentioned from the Inquistion in the Christian scriptures, do you?  What about burning libraries?  Those don't count now!

Thanks man. You have common sense unlike some people in this thread.

Well, but you are comparing the mainstream-religion with a niche-extremist-organization. Not the same thing even when ASStronaut will not accept it. Nomen est omen.

Sweden HAD open borders when you invited 160,000 people in 2015...

Its hard to kick people out if you bring them in rushed and uncontrolled.

No, we didn´t, but we accepted more people than expected basically because many other EU countries didn´t take responsibility for people in crisis.
