Forums - Movies & TV - Full Metal Alchemist Live Action Movie - Teaser Trailer 2 ( Looks Amazing! )

Looks alright. Live action films can be so strange. They always end up reversing the races. I just find it funny in many ways. I expected german looking actors to play the roles in FMA.

This looks terrible

Don't like japanese acting. Also.. Asian's with blonde hair doesn't fit. Needs more whitewashing.

Yeah, there's a tonne of them walking round Japan just waiting to be casted in movie roles

I agree that it definitely does look kinda weird, not much you can do about it when they aren't really available though.

They can import white actors who can speak Japanese. It's not like they're a dying race or something.  This is why I don't really like live action films that much. There's some I want to watch but I'm not interested in this or Ghost in the shell.

There's no where near as many foreign Japanese-speaking actors as there are foreign English-speaking actors though, so it's much harder for them. Plus they are probably working from a much lower budget than say a hollywood studio (and importing actors ain't even that common for them ).

I'm not saying to get a Japanese speaking Brad Pitt or two. An asian Ed with blonde hair just looks strange.

If anything you should watch the movie first so when you watch the anime it will seem even better than it already is :P

(Not much of a fan of live-action anime movies, if you couldn't tell).

For what it's worth, the original anime series is actually really good too...but I know watching 2 separate series with similar beginnings sounds tedious, so if you can't do that then ya watch Brotherhood
