Forums - Nintendo - NBA Playgrounds ( looks like Nba Jam ) - Nintendo Switch - Coming in May for $20

Seems to be doing well, no.2 on the eShop behind Mario Kart in North America.

Hum... I think I will wait till next may till I make a decision on the Switch, it still looks like no man´s land software wise...

It's not bad. Between Mario Kart, Zelda, NBA Playgrounds, Fast RMX, Shovel Knight, the library is filling out and there's almost always new games added to the eShop weekly now.

There's more to play on it IMO than the Wii or DS had in its early days.

Mario Kart and Zelda are for sure premium offerings. But it seems the 3rd party is still not getting into the deep end.

Money is short, for now I will watch and wait. To be fair, PSVR also was a expensive purchase and so far, only 3 premium game in my opinion.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

It's a good game, but it looks like vaseline was applied over the game's portable mode for Switch. Still fun to play.

Sounds like they need to patch the difficulty issues.

But the core of it is fun, I like that it's not quite as simple as NBA Jam. It's a challenging game and unlocking system is cool.

It's not much better in my TV, either. I got it for PS4 (for free) and Switch. Been meaning to do a comparison but I haven't had time, yet. It's not unplayable but definitely noticeable.

Yes, I've noticed that, too. The characters in handheld mode look very blurry. I don't know why that is. Also dynamic shadows are completely missing for the switch version. I got a feeling that it seems like a rushed port. Even the menu in the game has this loading moment just by clicking anything on the menu show the next screen. It takes way too long.

Hoping for a patch to optimize the game.

The game is actually good, a lot tougher than NBA Jam or Street.

The problem is it really need a AI patch. The CPU is way too cheap and players just do random things that would never happen in real life (ie: Shaq hitting threes from everywhere). The only way to win as far as I can tell is to basically shoot 3s the entire game while hoping for the odd steal/block against the tougher opponents.

The menus also feel a bit incomplete .... I'm 99% sure this game was rushed out to make it on market before the NBA Finals begin.

Hopefully they can patch the difficulty a bit, because it's actually a pretty fun game.

Yes, the difficulty is insane. I don't know how steal works against the AI, but they have no problems of stealing the ball from me everytime. Even if I manage to hit the ball out of his hands, he still takes the ball before me.
