Forums - Gaming - Games you want Microsoft to make for Scorpio!

-Fable sequel

-Banjo 3, by Playtonic, with a bigger budget and better engine they can make a great game

-Perfect Dark by 343, give them some time off from Halo and let them work on this neglected shooter franchise

-Lost Odyssey 2, in a world where Nier Automata and Persona 5 are selling millions this won't go as unnoticed as in 2008, and now that it'll be on PC it will do even better

-Elder Scrolls style new IP by Bethesda

-Gears of War survival horror spinoff where u dont play as a human tank but a vulnerable civilian escaping the locust, call it Horrors of War

Fix'd. I really want Bethesda to create a non TES RPG with a good combat system like FFXV. I really want to see if a Western company is willing to make a Bayonetta/FFXV/DMC style combat system without relying on hack and slashes.

I also think with some luck, Phantom Dust HD might become our version of Persona. Hopefully.

Western companies should outscource their combat systems to proven Japanese studios. Western studios are just not as good at melee and sword based 3rd person action games.

Phantom Dust is nothing like Persona though.

Only stabilished franchises and remakes?

People have too little imagination but than complain that Microsoft over explore their IPs...

Well, Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive and Ryse deserve new chances to greatness.

I liked it more than Persona though. It will not be their Persona in a direct comparison, but rather in the demographic they are aiming to. As for combat systems, I am certain they can do this since I've seen CDPR in action.

But they should seriously ask Beth to be the devs for it, since more often than not you can actually control people, but they fight as if using a baseball bat.

1st Party : 3D Platformer, Kart-Racer, RPG (Fable reboot?)

Maybe you're confusing Microsoft with Nintendo? :P

* Age of Empires 4. - They got Halo to work as an RTS on console. Maybe?

Please no, I love both Xbox and Age of Empires, but I've been waiting so long for this game that I don't want it to be simplified just for console use.

First party, either a new Fable, maybe Shadowrun 2.

Otherwise, maybe an Alan Wake 2 or Borderlands 3 as an exclusive.

NO sequels please, try something new invest in new studios, build new franchise.. take a leaf out of sony's book let current developers explore their reach with new ip

Same old crap with better graphics... one does not expect innovation or originality from the same thing with slightly better specs.

Funny u mention CDPR, cuz Witcher 3 has one of the worst combat systems I've ever seen, I made a thread lamenting about it, Western devs just cant get melee and sword based combat right. Even a Vita game like Toukiden has a better and more satisfying combat :/

These games are so different than what MS has made in over a decade that they basically count as fresh new IPs.

Their own Western and Japanese RPG, horror game, 3d platformers, wowzers such old crap!

What do you suggest then? They make another 3rd person shooter, another 1st person shooter?

there is a reason those game didnt get a sequel they just didnt sell well. For 10 years people were shouting about Last guardian, look how many people bought it. and there are tons of games on PS3 which I found good but didnt appeal to mass audience, does that mean it should come back No, I dont want developers to shutdown, just because vocal minority wants it.. Best example is Untill Dawn, Horizon Zero Dawn make a new frachise which appeals to the mass audience, Invest in New IP which has the potential to be the next big franchise, Like Sunset Overdrive they just gave up on it coz it didnt sell well enough to warrant a sequel.

The Problem is XBox gamers have been conditioned shooters since 360 gen, and when a really good game came along they just didnt buy it, and now if remaking/sequel to a game which didnt sell well in the first entry leads to negative PR on the new game, thats why we will never see another Folklore, star hawk, socom, and dare I say Lair, But time to time sony does take those chances like knack,  gravity rush, the last guardian, coz they have confidence in their install base that they can focus on delivering diverse line up. so buying a playstation system a gamer can expect diverse first party line up and not just shooter because those seeds were sowed in PS3 era.

MS needs to do the same pump out different unique IP so people start looking at xbox as more than just a shooter machine. But all these things really doesnt matter now as all the games are on PC why will someone look into buying an xbox or a scorpio when they can be played in better fidelity on PC

The world is a different place then it was 10 years ago. Nier bombed in 2010, yet its sequel has sold 1 million in just a few weeks. If a game is good, it will be noticed and sell. Thanks to word of mouth, social media and youtube influencers a game like Lost Odyssey 2 would be a hit today especially with a PC port.

The games I proposed are so old from a different era that you can count them as basically a new IP if they came back. You think a Conker 2 hurts creativity in this day and age? This is the only criticism I dont get, you act as if we're drowning in Conker or Banjo likes. We're not drowning in them and they would be welcome additions to the Xbox library, it would be a breath of fresh air to have Xbox only 3D platformers and RPGs, and a shooter thats not Halo.

A Halo RPG would be great, the material and lore is made for it, it could be Microsofts Mass Effect/Horizon. A survival horror Gears spinoff, the concept is so different then what we get, it could be their Resident Evil/Silent Hill, why are u against it?

I mean what difference does it make if they named it something else, you're still getting new original games with concepts you never got.
