Forums - Gaming - Why the "hardware hate" is so big these days?

Besides the PC community talking about specs kinda became a taboo the last years. There are even people actively rooting for things like PS4 Pro and Scorpio to fail because the idea of hardware revision thriving in the market is bad for some reason...

Is like graphics, it used to be very important but now being critical about graphics is seem as a bad thing.

It's a way to get off some steam, I guess. I'm personally not a fan of hardware revisions, as I don't want to have to constantly buy new consoles.

Maybe people don't want to buy a slightly upgraded console every 2-3 years?

Nobody is forcing them though. But they buy anyway and then blame the manufacturer for their feeling of inferiority.

That sounds an awful lot like vivster when it comes to Nintendo hardware.

Wait...

You are vivster!

Except that I feel inferior after I bought Nintendo hardware instead of before.

Gamers these days don't know what the hell they want.

It seems to me that gamers want power, but they don't want to pay for it.  They want the company to take a hit on it.  Kind of a selfish, effed up mindset to have if you ask me.

People are too dumb to understand their purpose

Xbox is for games and a home media center (pc compatability counts too)

PS4 is for a focus on games mainly and slightly better performances

Switch is for people who want to play console-level games anywhere, anytime

PC is for those who rarely play local multiplayer and typically play alone. It is also convienent since you can use it for almost anything else. Xbox One compatability is badass too

But that's exactly what you said in your first post: First buy, then blame manufacturer for feeling of inferiority.

No, I said blaming after the fact not feeling after the fact. Because the feeling of inferiority made you buy it. Stop just reading what you want to read.

People hate whatever they don't have. They don't want to feel like they're missing something.

Or people don't have those things because they don't like it.
