Forums - Nintendo - Zelda BotW has realistic puddles that form and dissipate from weather cycle

The rivers swell too, the water partly flows over the twin bridges near Dueling peaks stable in the rain. Realistic it is not. You immediately start slipping while climbing at the first little drop of rain. At least rocks dry out instantly as well.

Next I want to see snow accumulate, avalanches happen naturally, and seasonal cycles. Tidal bores, breaking waves in the wind, flash floods and grasslands emerging in deserts after the rain. Not too much to ask..

Actually it could start by remembering changes for more than a 100 yards. Chop down a few trees turn around they're all back. How am I going to dam a river if stuff keeps disappearing when I'm not looking :)

But are the puddles randomly generated or in fixed locations?

Will puddle sizes be different every time? Otherwise to me, it's not a big achievement if it's something scripted based on weather cycles.

Bruh, in real life puddles don't form randomly

The attention to detail in this game is breath taking

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

That's a very impressive touch.

Well even IRL if the terrain is adecuate, pudles will form again and again in the same spot, unless terrain changes....

Yeah this game has probably the biggest attention to detail I have ever seen

Didn't know this was a thing, that's pretty neat

I actually never noticed this before. I was too busy dying. A lot.

This game DOES NOT hold your hand.

Nope it activively tries to get your hands off itself. Almost at the top of that mountain? Bamm thunder storm, back down you go. Better remove your weapons and shield before you get zapped and here are 3 skeletons and some electric bats to keep you busy while that windcleaver Yiga clan assasin spawns behind your back :)

Pissed me off a few times, too. The worst was when I had to light a blue torch. I was within inches of lighting it when it started raining out of nowhere. Put my handheld torch out. I was like "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!"
