This was me an hour ago when I completed and then platinumed Horizon.  One of the best games ever imo.

I was already addicted to it until I started Zelda. I was still playing it while downloading the day 1 patches for the Switch, reluctant to stop to try out Zelda. Now after finishing Zelda it should help stave off that post amazing game depression. I usually lose interest in gaming for a bit after finishing an epic master piece. Ofcourse the comedown might be twice as bad after finishing Horizon as well!

I'll take it a bit slower with Horizon though. According to my stats I averaged over 6 hours a day with BotW since release thanks to handheld mode eating up all the rest of my available and not so available spare time. Anyway it's Friday, it's cold and raining, HZD in the forecast for tonight.

Wow, that is a lot of time. I do not have the Switch, but I watched AngryJoe review and Cinemassacre let´s play for 2h, seems like a superb game indeed.

Very good, but not close to BOTW.  I keep jumping with Aloy and trying to deploy my hang glider.  

Wish I had played Horizon first, because it doesnt measure up.

Hey, let's pick the worst VA in a game and use it as a proof that all the VA in the game suck.

Come on, I won't even answer to this, unlike you (pretty certain), I finished the game at 100% and yes, some were cringy, but most of them were more, MORE than decent.

Now if you excuse me, I have better things to do that argue with someone who watched videos on youtube.

I had the issue of beating the game after BOTW. I really, really like Horizon, but I was frustrated because the game lacks that freedom BOTW provides as an open world game. Though, to be honest, they're not comparable and accomplish different things. I see Horizon as a really ambitious Monster Hunter.

No kidding.  I knew before I clicked on the link that this would be about Zelda and that the same damn people would be here to stir things up.  

I was out of the forums for 12 days because something locked me out of it. So I have no idea of how things wnet during this period. Thanks to Truckssaurus I recovered my password. =)

It's the nature of VGChartz.

-You can not mention Tomb Raider without somebody running in and saying "It's shit. Uncharted is better." despite the games being very different.

-You can't mention Sunset Overdrive (or back in the day, Prototype) without the inFamous crowd running in calling the game shit or vice versa.

-You can't say anything about Gran Turismo without the Forza crowd attacking its scores. You can't mention Forza without the GT crowd saying "Forza is arcadey. It may be a better racing game but GT is a better simulator!"

-Can't mention PlayStation All Stars without the Smash Bros. guys chiming in.

-Now it seems that you can't mention Horizon without Zelda folk downplaying it and vice versa. The games aren't even similar!

It's like it's not enough to enjoy a game. Gamers have to make sure they're having a better time than someone else is having with THEIR game. We are an insecure bunch that apparently need a daily affirmation that other people agree the game(s) we're playing is good and our console of choice is burning.

In this particular case, the OP started the comparison, though. 

Horizon is an amazing game, but seeing some people comparing it to monster hunter...yhey are like totally different games, if there's a game that comes close to monster hunter it's dark souls, not as difficult as monster hunter but has a similar gameplay.
