I've been follwing Overgrowth since 2011, even though the project started out way back in 2008. I remember thinking how cool it was to see Asasssins Creed style parkour moves and anthropomorphic characters using martial arts to disable and kill one another. I remember watching their Alpha vids every few months to see the elvel of progress, but over time I ended up moving on and just forgot about the game. 

Now after 4 years of forgetting the game, it seems to be entering early access on Steam, possible hints at a 2018 release. The guy has been working on this game for nearly 10 years, which is a hell of a long time for one game, but what he's putting into it is something else, so I'm willing to give it a shot and support him when it comes out.

Game is set to release for PC, Mac and Linux, like their previous game Lugaru.

I'd totally forgotten about this, i bought it in alpha about half a century ago

My expectations aren't that high, it's been in development so long that it already looks really dated, but i'll give the final game a go if only to see how far it's gone. I might end up being surprised and loving it.

Yeah, I thought back then that it looked like somethign decent, but since he's been working on it for enarly 10 eyars, it's aged along the way with his testing. I'd hope that he updates the visuals for release, but I can't see him managing it. Still the combat is quite diverse as well as the free running.

That is an awful name. Sounds like something nasty growing on the body or a parody of Overwatch.

I know but most people neve rheard of this so can be easily taken as such.

I dunno, I don't see it as a nasty type of name, maybe if it was called "fungus" or "Slimy".

It's been years since I've seen anything about this. I'm glad it's still set for release, I liked what I saw back then and I like what I see now.
