^ I thought they revealed that he was a distant descendant of Kensei already? Maybe I was wrong, maybe I assumed... but that's why he had powers. I think it's Hiro's dad acting, but he can't be that old can he? Unless his power is long life. @ Legend I thought in the credits it says that it was co-written by Stan Lee, I know at least that he is a contributor to the series.

I don't get the ending, I mean why didn't Peter just fly away himself, was his powers off that bad that he couldn't fly either!

Ok, just saw the last ep (above average, but not awesome I thought), so I can comment... :)

1/ Nathan flying Peter away seems silly to me. Came to mind episodes ago, and I'm surprising they took this (predictable) path. Peter can fly, and there could have been a heap of other possible solutions (going through matter guy, could have sunk him into the earth, or found a reactor... Hiro could have helped, etc..).

2/ C'mon - you would have thought that Hiro would have killed Sylar PROPERLY - beheading or something. Silly!

3/ Once a show has time travel introduced, ANYTHING is possible. Any character could come/be brought back at will.

4/ Definitely reminds me of Xmen - since the start. But its smart, that they have left it open to introduce almost any character or power at will. Looking forward to season 2!!

5/ What's with the eclipses? The 1st season started with one as well - do they signifiy the triggering of hidden powers?

There is always exceptions to everything. I agree that Stargate and Buffy stayed fresh for quite a few seasons longer than a lot of other shows but i always think that is because they never got completely mainstream. They didnt "sell out" i guess. I could see heroes easily doing so. I mean super heroes are so popular right now with Spiderman, Batman, X-men, Fantastic 4, Ghost Rider, Iron Man, Superman, Justice League, Hellboy and so on. People are on a superhero frenzy and im pretty sure that is probably a lot of the Heroes fanbase. All i know is that so far im really enjoying it (even the that episode which a lot of people seem to really dislike). I dont understand why people are really upset about the Peter-Sylar battle. Nothing in the whole series lead us to beleive that there was going to be a big CG fest ultimate battle between them. The show focuses much more on character developement that their actual powers. Anyway i was very satisfied with the first season and eagerly awaiting the next one.

The only heroes that come to my mind are Superman, Spiderman, and Batman.
