Forums - Nintendo - Revive F-Zero?

Whats the point, them two indie games look exactly the same

In fact they should really make a game to rival Goldeneye 007. That game was epic

So basically a Perfect  Dark, Halo, cod4 killer

F-Zero is my all-time favorite racing franchise. I would love to see a new F-Zero game more than any other game right now. The franchise is so long overdue. The only stipulation I would make is that it should avoid the musical style of GX. That is the only one I wasn't crazy about. I love all the other F-Zero soundtracks though.

I've been playing F-Zero Climax recently and it is pretty impressive what they were able to pull off with a GBA game. The only real complaint I have is that the spin attack is too easy to activate by accident. I would probably just get rid of it altogether since Climax has the twitchy driving style and the GBA doesn't have enough buttons to give it a dedicated button. That is a minor complaint, though. Climax is a great game.

I wish but Nintendo's top devs have at times claimed they felt it would be redunant and that they didn't know what 'new' things they could add.

What they don't seem to understand is we LOVE F-Zero, we like the story mode, we like the goofy news channel thing, we like the characters, we like the customization.

I mean for gods sake an HD remaster of F-Zero GX alone would be stellar on the Switch, if they won't make a new title. I think GX was helmed by Sega anyway (?) so I do not understand why Nintendo refuses to let a second or third party studio just work on one if they're unwilling to put one of their main teams on it. Hell, let the Fast RMX guys make one.

its beyond frustrating to me. Fast RMX is fun but it lacks the charm of F-Zero. IMO a lot of F-Zero is the world, the characters/story, the mega customization. Miss that and frankly there's basically no 'future racer' on the market that fills that whole for me

have you played an F-Zero game before? the music, style, among other things are what make it special. Specifically with F Zero GX they also have a stellar story mode, an insane amount of customization, and other things.

Fast RMX is nice in terms of the raw racing however it has NO characters, no story, cool looking worlds but nothing super immediately iconic like a lot of the F-Zero tracks.

Its just not the same. I think it comes down to appreciating the charm of the series. F-Zero fans like the whole package. Fast RMX unfortunately does not fill in that whole (which I think is likely because the team behind is probably hoping Nintendo will hire them to bring back F-Zero, otherwise I'm not sure why they would stay exclusively on the Switch digitally)

I have only had f zero x on the n64, dont remember a story line though. good game though. I havent played Fast RMX either though just watched a few vids on youtube.

Tbh a standard F Zero game in this age will just fail like any and all futuristic racing games unless they are budget or indie.

Imo Nintendo need to reinvent the F Zero franchise. Still include the racing but focus on the life of Captain Falcon in a beat em up game like the Yakuza series. That way it can target a larger audience and sell more than it ever could.

I want them to do it just so people stop asking for it. Then when it sells under 500K maybe they get why Nintendo didn't want to...
