A new Zelda game is always an event for me, but I'm not sure I've ever been so bewitched by a Zelda title, or any other title for that matter.

I woke up early twice this week to play before work, and then logged another three hours each evening. I think I have 14 hours played between Monday and today.

Any WiiU or Switch owners feeling the same? For non-Zelda fans, what games stole you away to another world and refused to let go?

Yes. Despite the fact I spend 2-3 days a week working away from home (playing on Wii U so can't take it with me), I've logged 40 hours since it came out. I happily play for 3 hours without realising that time has passed.

I fully intend to do all 120 Shrines before I complete the main story, too, so that I can enter Hyrule Castle in God Mode, with the Blade of Evil's Bane and the Hero of the Wild armour.

Edit: I should also point out the Saturday after the game came out I spent 9 hours on it in total.

It's definitely the best zelda game i have played. I've done over 25 hours since launch. Brilliant game, so good I'm actually surprised.

There's so much exploration in new Zelda, took me around 2 weeks or so.

All my other hobbies are suffering because of this game so I know where you're coming from.

this Zelda is teh Zelda for me. I even prefere it over sex.... I mean did it a couple of times, not expecting to give up until i finish

You are not the only person obsessed with Zelda.

I hate it because you're trying to get to your next destination and you see something else interesting ALL THE TIME, and you'll get sidetracked for an hour. This game's evil. I have sculpting to do and I haven't done it...

Though I guess that's not really a surprise.

At almost 70 hours now (68 and a bit), which means I've almost matched my first-playthrough record on a Zelda game. This was 73 and a half hours on Skyward Sword, which I 100% in my first playthrough. Obviously for Breath of the Wild I'm not anywhere near 100%, still only one dungeon done and maybe a quarter of the map explored. About 40 Shrines and 70 Korok Seeds with probably still plenty more to find in that quarter of the map I uncovered thus far. This game is endless, just huge, and the longest I played in one go until now was about 10 and a half hours last weekend lol.
