Forums - Gaming - QLED vs OLED vs LED TV: Which one is the best?

I agree kbg that the sony z9 is amazing. LG OLEDs only win in outright black-level response like you said. and also viewing angles but gamers are never playing off angle. and like you said 2016 oled models couldn't compete with z9 in brightness and hdr. hopefully 2017 oled models improved hdr

Among the highlights of the new lg oled models is a 25% increase in brightness—LG claims they can reproduce up to 1000 nits in small areas of the image. Also, the new OLEDs cover 99% of the DCI/P3 color gamut, a slight increase over the 97% achieved by last year’s models

I had a LG oled tv and the only fault it had was the fucking SIZE. I always got headache after half an hour watching it.

QLED if OLED never takes off, but the OLED vs LED is a lot like plasma vs LCD. I prefer plasma because picture quality so I hope OLED does take off.

OLED has taken off though.....

Anyways, my next Tv will be an OLED. The Sony A1 to be exact. Once you see an OLED tv, you really can't unsee it and everything from that point just looks like thre is something wrong.

It has taken off once it has at least 25% marketshare by my definition. So once Sony and Samsung also start to make them I will probably buy one to. Plasma never really to of off and now it's dead hope that doesn't happen to OLED though.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

My only complain with OLED displays is when you watch in the dark, it is just too bright and hurt your eyes.

A handheld gamer only (for now).

There is no single LCD technology, VA, IPS and TN are very different in all of the criteria and there are tons of technical enhancements like local dimming.
And of course you can change OLED brightness.

I personally prefer VA over standard IPS because I cannot live with the bad blacks. Samsung got TV market leader because of their superior VA technology.
And I still hope that OLED will become affordable one day, they should be cheaper to produce than LCD already, the higher price is just marketing.

the first gen PS Vita has oled screen. Let me tell ya, it's amazing.

CPU: Ryzen 9950X3D
GPU: MSI 4090 SUPRIM X 24G
Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5
SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade 4TB
Gaming Console: PLAYSTATION 5 PRO

I know you didn't mentioned plasma in to your question, but in my opinion plasma is still king when it comes to gaming. Panasonic and Pioneer plasmas are the best when it comes to colors, deep blacks and more importantly , refresh rate and free of ghosting.

What i have is always the best for me.
