why would attach rate matter at all?

Attach rate is the only way to directly compare the commercial popularity of two titles that don't share the same install bases.

that sounds silly lmao.

Its just sales nrs. vs sales nrs, if something sells more than something else, its more popular.

A year or two from now, we can look at numbers and say was this more popular than that?

I think zelda ends up selling more in the end. Right now however Horizon sales are ahead.

I expect horizon zero dawn will do atleast 5-6m or so, and zelda more than that.

As i noted a few comments up, attach ratio borders on meaningless here. Horizon would have needed to sell 30 - 40 million copies in its launch week to have a comparable attach ratio to Zelda. That wouldn't make Horizon and Zelda's success comparable, it'd have made Horizon the single largest launch in any entertainment industry, ever

Still not buying it

What is the point in getting a pro if not for Horizon Zero Dawn. It's not likely any game will utilize it better anyway.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

You use total numbers for that.

Attach rate would only be useful to especulate how many copies a game on a console would sell on another one, but attach rate comparisons are distorted by comparing new consoles and established ones. And they get more useless as the console sells more imo

Lmao imagining a 40million units sold first week :p

Sony would def. be pleased.

Horizon is the surprise hit of 2017.

So happy for GG,
For Sony,
For the PS4,

But most importantly for me. 45 hours into this and I can't get enough.

Hopefully we'll get at least a teaser for the DLC at E3!
