Attach rate is the only way to directly compare the commercial popularity of two titles that don't share the same install bases. 

You use total numbers for that.

 

Attach rate would only be useful to especulate how many copies a game on a console would sell on another one, but attach rate comparisons are distorted by comparing new consoles and established ones. And they get more useless as the console sells more imo
