Forums - Gaming - Jim Sterling’s site under attack after Zelda: BotW review

B)  Why would he want "clicks" from people who just want to leave insults?

Because he trades on conflict and having hot takes.

Jim vs. Randy Pitchford and Gearbox

Jim vs. Konami

Jim vs. Digital Homicide

Jim vs. Nintendo.

and now,

Jim vs. Rabbid BotW fans.

Look for him to get at least one episode out of this.

To be clear, the people leaving insults or DDOSing his website are terribly immature.

He did it for the clicks and attention. He got it.

Now that he got that, it's not time to complain. Maybe the next time he would learn to not be hyperbolic and let his issues with Nintendo out of a game.

Btw, I found also hyperbolic those reviews that calls BotW as the perfect and best game of all time.

yeah it sounds like the feud affected the review, even is that's not the case.

You haven't. Having been following it for the last week in anticipation for the review, I am quite convinced of his playtime because he explicitly made it clear what he was doing every single day in his podcast and on Twitter.

Cool then. You should be able to give an accurate break down of how many hours he spent playing the game each day leading up to his review, and what he did in the game during his play through. So, approximately how long did he play this game?  What did he experience and what did he miss in the game?

Well considering there are 24 hours in a day. On March9th he didn't complete a dungeon yet and then on the 11th he beat the game, unless he was playing for 48hrs straight, it is obvious he only did the bare minimum of content, after he started the dungeons. Before the 9th most of his time was being put into other games and videos.

This alone is not a problem if it did not affect his understanding of how the game works. But as I belabored already, there are few things that he gets obviously wrong in his review (I.e not being able to skip Blood Moon cut scenes) which a person who has invested a decent amount of time into the game would not get wrong.

Sure is his opinion, but i think he is a total moron. If you don't like the game give some valid reason according to your previous reviews. He doesn't likes the stamina bar, but yet in the dark souls series it's ok. "Pausing" the game to change weapons it's bad, but in fallout 4 it's great.

Funnily enough, you don't have to pause to change weapons. This is a more common misunderstanding than you would think.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

If there's people that I can't stand in the gaming community is Colin Moriarty and Jim Sterling, not because of their opinions, just the "I'm a dick you're stupid and I'm right" way of presenting their opinion. So I don't feel bad for him, when you're an ass people are going to be assholes too. so the guys doing the damage are dicks, just like the victim. I say, let them fight.

Its way too funny how people like you continue to take people like Colin and Jim seriously with their schticks that are meant as a joke. Just look at the interviews Colin has been doing with notable industry veterans all week for a prime example of what Colin is genuinely like. If you think Colin or Jim are genuine asses you've completely missed their humor.

Critics are hyperbolic. Calling it GOAT is hyberbolic, just as reviewing it when you've only spent two days on it. But it's absolutely human nature.

Exactly the problem with his "review": misinformation.

No I'm not talking about the review, his reviews are pretty good most of the time.

His reviews are good when he gives the games the score i want.

vgchartz users are pros at starting shit

I hope people understand that 7/10 is still pretty good.

Besides, the score went to 97. So what? Is everything suddenly going to decrease in quality because it isn't 98 anymore?

Played it for many hours, beat it and loved it.

Saw that it slipped to a 97, so I smashed the game with a hammer. Good riddance!

Did you at least lick the game before destroying it?

I'm not talking about humor or their "funny" skits, I'm talkin sbout the way of presenting their opinion. Maybe they are right when they present some of their opinions, but the attitude is what I don't like. Cause "you're dumb if you think otherwise"
