StokedUp said: Honestly this baffles me this video game addiction you read about. Video games are great fun and it's a awesome hobby when you just want to chill out at home. But playing for 16 hours straight or even 6-7 hours straight is just crazy. People like this really need to go out and get a hobby like Rock Climbing, mountain biking. I rock climb and nothing can beat the feeling of climbing it's so much fun and gaming can't compare to it, I love being in the middle of nowhere with a couple of buddies, a tent camping out and going bouldering! |
Forecast for tomorrow: -9c, scattered flurries, 48 km/h windgusts, feels like -17. I think I'll stay inside and play Zelda :) Actually I did go out for a run on the trail today with my dog. One part accross a field against the wind hurt real bad, but it was worth it.
Summer is for outdoors. I can go cycling for 5 hours, upto 130 km rides. My wife says I'll get skin cancer... nothing is healthy! It's great though, endorphins and adrenaline are just as addictive.
Yet Everquest was even more addictive. Online gaming with a group of regular friends, later on together with my wife, time simply flies. Start Saturday at noon, order in pizza, play until 7am. Done that :/ Getting older and especially kids put an end to that.
Anyway, tonight I'll be playing Zelda until I can't keep my eyes anymore. Kids are off to grandparents for the night, weather sucks tomorrow, time to sleep in. Sometimes I'm happy the weather sucks so I can enjoy games while not worrying about enjoying the outdoors.
