Forums - Nintendo - Zelda BOTW has the most perfect scores on Metacritic.

weapon degradation should make any game ineligible for a perfect score. Same with a lives system (not in Zelda just saying). Useless features to add artificial playtime due to to to'ing and fro'ing

With the variation of weapons and how easy is to find new weapons, I don't see the problem. Plus adds more challenge, at least that's how I see it. I prefer this sytem now because all of the awesome weapons on this games.

Well done Zelda and Nintendo. I'm not sure if I would place it at 10/10 currently, but I am certainly loving this game now.

you can have awesome weapons without them breaking every few minutes.  Sorry but this is as big a pet peeve in games with me as having the last difficulty be unlocked by beating the second hardest.

I am Iron Man

Can someone (in a non-spoilery way) outline the difference between a shrine and say a temple in Zelda's of old? Because 12 shrines sounds like a tonne lol.

It really is unlike anything I've played before. Sure, there are some similarities as Aonuma and team drew from other open world games, but this game...I just don't want to stop playing it.

Shrines are extremely simplistic miniature dungeons that contain one or two puzzles for the player to solve. I believe there's four dungeons (comparable to old Zelda games) total in BotW, not counting the final area.

It doesn't affect my enjoyment too much, but the rate at which weapons degrade in BotW is pretty damn ridiculous. The game's weapons make Dark Souls 2 swords seem like they're made out of unobtainium. I really shouldn't have to be pausing my game every 10 minutes or so to fiddle with my inventory and select a new weapon.

Thanks so much. That makes a lot more sense. I was like, I know the game is big, but this is sounding ridiculous.

I take it the Shrines are fun, even being simplistic?

Its simply amazing, i hope im able to play it in the recent future.

Goddamn... If it were up to me, BotW would be multiplat so that as many people as possible would be able to play it.

I just want people to play games that they'll love but business is business... Look into PC emulation in the future but emulate responsibly: buy a copy of the game to support the game makers or buy a Switch if you ever feel it has built up a library worthy enough.
