the only ones on that list that have a chance are MGS4, and, sadly, GTA4.

Gears of War 2? possibly.

SSBB is a big possibility, as well as Mario Kart Wii. Nintendo still has a lot of games they will pull out of their asses

for the next half of 2008 also

wouldnt be suprised if sony got a few extra big games too. imagine Sonic Unleashed does meet

expectations and gets it? that would be awesome.

Hmm, there are a lot of games coming out this year. Seeing how games from the MGS series are praised a lot, but never win awards since they alienate a lot of people with its complex stories, I don't think MGS4 will get it. The GTA series are famous and lots of people love it, so GTA IV might get it....even if I'm tired of the modern day gun-totting video games winning the GOTY awards lately.
