I think 2 months or less considering how fast these guys are as far as playable goes. Its the bugs that might take a bit longer.

Still, BoTW at 4k will be fap worthy.

And if the Joycons/pro gamepad end up working really well with time, it'll be like playing it on the Switch, just with beefier hardware.

Or you could use a controller that fits better in your hands, like a DS3 or DS4. Then it's just like playing on a Switch with beefier hardware and a controller of your choice :)

This will be cool. I'm not gonna have a system powerful enough any time soon, though.

And for those still confused, emulation ≠ piracy.

Only Nintendo owns the licence.

The consumer buys a license that allows them to use the game. It's not like every consumer buys the IP you silly.

I dont even...

Ikr! Speically since BoTW has soo much aliasing in docked mode that it looks :T

Can't wait!!

See that's another gripe that's holding me back from getting the Switch (apart from the fact I've more bills to pay than before), is the fact that the docked mode isn't running it any better than when it's in mobile mode. That and the charger being on the spot where you'd normally put the device in stand mode, though luckily there is already a market for those since launch:

Still, being able to play it at 2-4k would be the deream for getting rid of the damned jaggies. The art style of the game alone is nice to look at (been watching watching Mike over at AVGN playing it for a few days now).

I would love to see if those Joycons working with some RTS games though.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

It's actually the reality we live in. You don't own the actual game no matter how many tiems you can say it, you merely paid for the license fee to play said game. No matter physical or digital, you do not own the game, you just paid the license fee. There are even rules put in place that they can take the game away should you break the rules and regulations, it's what most contracts state these days.

If the owner of the intellectual property can still make money off the game in question, what is the meaningful difference between emulation and piracy?

When you buy a game, you buy a license to own it, in fact.

Yes and only to own it or sell that copy. Not make an ISO and give it away to others.

Mhmm. I just treat it as a handheld. As a console, there are just too many urghhness, specially the hard plastic thing inside the dock which might scratch your screen. I always said when we found out what it was that when it's going to be attached to the dock, the power increase won't be significant and yea... It really isn't. All the dock is, is that its an overpriced usb/power hub with an HDMI port which is a shame. And there a bunch of other reasons why I don't like it as a console such as the menus being rendered at 720p even in docked mode which looks pretty blurry on my 4k TV.

But then as a handheld, it is great. Since the screen is 720p, the image itself is a lot clearer, no performance hiccups and main menu isn't blurry either. I really would have prefered it if they just went for a handheld instead of a so called "Hybrid" cause it does the handheld part really well but not so much the console part. It would have helped with the price too.

But yea, I would have waited too if it wasn't for Zelda which got me to buy it and that was worth every penny. But a smart buyer would wait imo, specially with the joyconn connectivity issues in console mode.

I imagine that if they had scrapped the expensive dock and just focused on it being a mobile device/party platform (1, 2 Switch is giving me huge Wii party kit vibes with those Joycons, like theyr eally, really want that crowd back again), then the price point would have been a bit lower and I would have likely gone for it a lot sooner. Now I'm just waiting on them to optimize what they can for docked mode (not expecting much) and for the price to go down a bit (unlikely since it's Nitnendo and they think lowering the price is somehow lwoering the value of the device for all 7 billion people on this rock).

We should pay for results though and not for effort.

The game has a 98, so I would say its worth the money.

You could always buy the game, and not the crappy console it comes attached with. That's an option too.

I'm now filled with determination.
