For a secondary console, it needs to hit the right price : desired game ratio. I would prefer to wait for a 'home console only' revision, but that's not gonna happen.

I'll eventually buy one, hopefully in time when Splatoon 2 comes out because I really enjoyed playing online multiplayer, especially when it was having updates and Splatfests. Plus the list of games will eventually be updated with potential games that can be announced at E3.

Your best bet on getting some sort of a deal with Nintendo is black friday. Outside of that, I dont know. Microsoft and Sony generously price match or try to outdo one another for market attention. This is where Nintendo usually circumvents the competiton.
