Forums - Gaming - Kotaku: Nintendo acknowledges Joycon connectivity issues.

Sounds minor to me.

Werent there reports that the day one update fixed this?

Digital foundry ran some tests after the update and the problem still existed.

Research shows Video games  help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot

I'm expecting cats, carpet, and Amiibos to be added to the list of 'Items not to have in the same house as a Nintendo Switch'.

Asking people keep it away from other wireless devices is not a reasonable request. Everything you connect to a TV in this day and age is wireless in one form or another.

They're going to have to revise the joycons.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

LMAO. Basically asking people to keep other electronics away from the Switch.

Hated the idea of the JoyCons from the beginning. Please make normal controllers standard again.

Yeah....revision better come sooner than later or come up with a firmware/software update that truly fixes the problem (if it´s even possible that way for this particular issue).

Yes he does.

@ OP

I'm guessing this is strictly a HW issue, then, and won't be fixed in an update?  I don't understand how a $300 device was built so cheaply.  The screen is plastic, in an age of cheap Gorilla Glass phones, so it scratches easily.  The BT transmitters in the Joycons seem to be cheap, as they are somewhat easily disrupted.  The little kick stand in the back is a very cheap piece of plastic.  The locking mechanism on the Joycons is just a small piece of plastic that has already worn out for some users.

You know, I didn't really like Iwata's vision for Nintendo, but he at least seemed to make sure their HW was solidly built.  If I get the Switch, it will definitely be at ~$199 AND after they have ironed out all the bugs.

No issues at all for me.

Same here.

The majority of users seem to have no problem, but it is really baffling to me the amount of bad news surrounding tiny aspects of the switch. The dock scratches the screen, joycons desync, it can't be in the same vicinity as other devices emitting other rays, it seems to be really finicky and possibly even rushed to market. I hope a lot of these issues are quelled within the upcoming months. Hopefully there'll be an updated sku by december when I get one.
