I'm guessing this is strictly a HW issue, then, and won't be fixed in an update? I don't understand how a $300 device was built so cheaply. The screen is plastic, in an age of cheap Gorilla Glass phones, so it scratches easily. The BT transmitters in the Joycons seem to be cheap, as they are somewhat easily disrupted. The little kick stand in the back is a very cheap piece of plastic. The locking mechanism on the Joycons is just a small piece of plastic that has already worn out for some users.
You know, I didn't really like Iwata's vision for Nintendo, but he at least seemed to make sure their HW was solidly built. If I get the Switch, it will definitely be at ~$199 AND after they have ironed out all the bugs.
