Forums - Sony - I'm about to pull the trigger on PSN Plus, but help me out here.

I'm seriously contemplating on subscribing to PSN Plus, but let me tell you where I stand on it and where I need help understanding.

1) I do not game online.  Nothing against it, I just cannot dedicate a lot of time for it.  On rare occasions on the PS3, I'd go online playing the first LBP.  Did a little Resistance, and little Warhark.  That was it.

2) $60 a year in worst case scenaro is $5 a month which more than likely pay for itself in discounts.

3) I do understand that free games were always accessable as long as you as you have an active paid subscription.  If I didn't renew my subscription, those free games were not accessable anymore.

What I need answering is :

4) What free items (if any) I'm allowed to keep if I didn't renew my subscription?

5) If I don't take advantage of a free game for that month, will I loose accessing that free game the next month?

6) I heard something along the lines of downloading or placing every free item in my cart while I have a subscription so I can access them months later even if I'm not interested in them if that makes any sense.

Thanks.

You keep none of the free games if you drop your sub.

You do not lose any access to free games for the next month. If you do not want to download the games that month because of space, you can just mark them but do not download and you can download them later.

Number 6 is correct.

Let's see.
5) Yes if you don't save them you don't get to download them later.
6) That is simple. Go to their website (so all the games are there and not separated by console).
- add them to cart (they will all be free).
- "check out" and purchases them (they are still all free)

And that creates your backlog. it is what I do every month.

So like a normal purchase, I can "check out" but don't have to download right then and there.  Correct?

Welcome, I see you have got your answers. I am currently subscribed to 2033, so there is quite alot of games waiting for me ahead :)

Well, you can keep the savegames and trophies of the subscription-bound games you played. If you made screenshots or videos of these games, you can keep them, too. ;)

If you don't play online is not worth it, really, the free monthly games SUCK the majority of the time, they are mostly indies. You don't get to keep any of the games after your subscription is over. Personally, I don game online and I don't take advantage of PSN, I'm not planning on renewing my account.

Wasn't there something along the lines of free minis or avatars?  Might have been an older offer/policy.

Seriously?  Was this some kind of glitch?

Are you sure about losing the games (or at least the right to download them)?

I thought it was like Xbox Live, the games are unlocked for your account for life (and you can just re-install them from the store like any other games you bought) if you grabbed them while being a subscriber.

I was really under the impression it was the same with Play Station Network.

I personally love quality independent games.  But I have such a backlog of games, it's hard for my to justify new games from a time management standpoint.  So that's makes it even harder for me to justify PSN Plus with the lack of online play and time to play.  It's been the gamble of weekly discount to offset the cost of Plus that keeps me thinking about it.
