I don't see it. It be a bonus thing, yes. But, not everyone using it. The thing with this type of stuff. They're addons to existing things, you already do. Second: They need you to do extra things, for entertainment. VS just a TV. Turn on, start console, play game. I'm ignoring the cost too. Just the fact of all the extra stuff. And than you having to take it off. To use your phone, and other generic things. Plus, people watching TV shows. While sitting down, near their TV set, is really stupid inception. It's like 3D TV. It's not really anything mind blowing. That you will want do over and over again. VS someone coming home. And hitting a power button.
People are lazy. And if something requires a few more extra steps. Forget it. Wii Fit died. 3D TV went nowhere, past another option you can do. And people still say: I love digital. Because I don't have to get up and switch discs anymore. So really. Having a giant head piece. Plus all the countless sensors around your room. Pets or kids knocking them over. Or you just having no room for it. Just no way, for most. VR will be just there. But not important.
