[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

Around the Network

Is this a video taking place in Minneapolis? I saw one earlier like that.

It was clear from that video that the video, like most all late night show videos is edited to be funny. YOu know when they ask people on the street who won the revolutionary war and people say the north. They record hundreds of people to get a few idiots.

But there has been more and better advertising for the Switch than the Wii U by far. Then not to mention starting today there will be switches in the wild. Each person that takes their outside the home and plays at a coffee shop or on a train or bus or at lunch break at work, ect is advertising for the switch.

But again, none of that will stop idiots from being on an edited video for comedy.

Only my Walmarts matters.

No way! My local mom-and-pop, 10x10ft game store in my town of 5k people matters the most.

I don't think so but my local gamestop is giving it very little space. You'd probably not notice it if you went in. If it's successful that will obviously change though.

They ran a commercial during The Voice Kids tonight so I think this reached some peeps in The Netherlands. Picked up my unit at the local mom and pop toy shop. Had me worried when they said they had none left. Turned out they ran local pre-orders and I ordered it online trough the franchise and they deliver unmarked boxes and they don't know what they contain. During the 10 minutes I was there 5 people came in asking if they had any left as well as two phone calls. She told me it had been like that all day.

One thing I found annoying is the lack of accessories available and the inflated prices on games. Got in my car, drove 5 minutes and picked up Zelda for 16 euro's less than eshop and other shop prices.

I saw an honest-to-goodness, actual Nintendo ad ( for the Switch ) on Sportscenter this morning. A rarity over the last 5-6 years.

Yeah I went to a few stores looking for bomberman today (didn't find it so gave up), and the switch space in all of them was very small. All the way in the back corner in a case mostly full of xbox one systems at one Walmart. They need more physical releases to to increase that space.
