Will ANY Sony console EVER have an exclusive title that scores a 97+ on Metacritic?

Yes 65 49.62%

No 66 50.38%

Total:131

Isn't Uncharted 2 at 96 and the Last of Us at 95? Dooooommeedd...You notice that aside from GTA and Breath of the Wild, there aren't many recent games on that 97 plus list? Critics are harsher nowadays, Breath of the Wild is just a freak of nature.

I think we have to question the purpose of this thread.
Rol already rocked the foundations of the thread anyway.

The purpose of seeing if anyone thinks Sony will ever have a 97+ game on Metacritic?  What's to questions?

i'm sorry but you have to remove the multiple versions of the same game from that list.
they don't really need to a title that scores 97+. there are some games on that list i would replace with one of sony's 80+ titles, i'm talking about you GTA IV!

edit: Halo combat evolved is also on PC.

Well, technically Uncharted 2, MGS2: Sons of Liberty, Tekken 3, an Gran Turismo are tied with a bunch of other games for the #20 spot. There are currently 19 games with a Metascore of 97 or higher, so everything with a Metascore of 96 would share the #20 spot. However, Metacritic sorts games that have the same Metascore by some means that I can't tell.

Also, like Rol pointed out, we have to keep in mind that multiplatform games are counted separately, so GTA4 is taking up two spots in the top 19 and GTA5 is taking up four spots.

Finally, for what it's worth Uncharted 2 is ranked #8 of all time on Game Rankings. I wonder what Metacritic's list would look like if they didn't round everything to the nearest percentage point, but instead added a decimal place or two like GR does.

It's the decimals we can't see.

I think Sony is still rather immature to make games at that level. The Last of Us as an example was made reusing the uncharted engine that had already been used in three other games. It was refined as hell, but it wasn't anything new. The upper tiers of metacritic are reserved for boundary breakers. Risk takers. Sony makes great games, but they don't take risks.

If they don't fuck it over with crappy MP DLC again, I'd say LoU2 has a good shot.

You just moved the goalpost because Rol called you out.

“Simple minds have always confused great honesty with great rudeness.” - Sherlock Holmes, Elementary (2013).

"Did you guys expected some actual rational fact-based reasoning? ...you should already know I'm all about BS and fraudulence." - FunFan, VGchartz (2016)

Is this a genuine concern from a Sony fan, or is this some kind of a sad attempt  at trying to feel superior from a Nintendo fan because Zelda is sitting at 98 on Metacritic ?

Probably not but I feel Nintendo games are held to different standards, like comparing reviews of mobile games to AAA console games (not to that degree obviously but yeah).

Also would this actually bother anyone? It means nothing.
