You're totally sweet and loving and a caring nice person. You may be right, but I'm such a strong believer in womens rights. Taylor Swift raised me you know! hehe I believe in a love for all women. And I think women should be paid the equal dollar amount, but there are obviously peoople fighting in this thread, who do not believe that! And I totally think that's wrong, but for you to come up in here and post a thing like that, it raised my respect for you by 10 folds! I love you!

As an independent, I very much am. With that said, I am used to seeing them stated with...a little more tact, to say the least.

If you're genuinely interested in making a change and affecting people's political opinions, then it's usually not a good idea to open by calling everyone who endorses a certain candidate a sexist. That tends to simply disengage people from your conversation, and the end result is you change no one's mind. Try creating an open discussion, or perhaps voicing your complaints in a less accusatory way. Something like "I feel that the way Trump has approached women creates a very hostile world for them in, and I don't understand how people can support him without creating a major moral dilemma." Even if you're wholeheartedly convinced that you are right and Trump supporters are wrong, opening up by telling them that they are wrong will convince nobody of your correctness.

okay, okay okay. lets go over what you did wrong.

youre taking an issue that affects everybody (or lets just say women since you opened on that) and making it all about you. millions of people live in fear now because he has the power to ruin their lives, and he doesnt have the capacity to realize what he is doing to people. this is a national problem, and one that we are all aware of, and want fixed.

this is not about YOU marching across Washington to make a statement. this is not about YOU being part of a website for 8 years. this is not about YOU "being recognized and having a valued opinion". i put that in quotes because i really have no idea who you are. and nobody really cares that YOU have the constitutional right to say this. you arent adding anything new to discuss, so its really just a waste of breath.

But irregardless, Hillary was teh first lady of the united states. She had more power than basically any woman alive, and a platform to say whatever she wanted and everyone woudl listen. That is not a place one should be using to bash victims of a crime.

That's just my opinion. I don't like the idea of a victim of some crimes name to be drug through the mud. What kind of message does that send to any other women who get rapped. Would they want to come forward if when they do they are blasted in the papers as being a slut.
