Press packs for the Switch systems sent to European media included a note from Satoru Shibata, who included Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as one of Switch's first party 2017 releases. Assuming Monolith Soft are re-using the XCX engine, it's not inconceivable Chronicles 2 will launch this year.

Fingers crossed for a quick, quality localisation and a 2017 release.
