We will have to see as the 3ds price drop was also around the same time which could make things interesting

3DS price drop is few weeks later, and than 3DS most likly will take lead again.

Looks like Nintendo is content with shipping an amount of units that is just about sufficient to have them on pace for 10m in this fiscal year, so they won't raise their forecast after Q1. Then they are going to unleash a larger wave of units starting in July, have a great Q2 and increase their forecast in October, provided that production allows for it.

You should get the job at Nintendo.

Doubling that number this year is easy task (assuming they have enuf stocks), they will probably pass 3m at end of 2017. if they have enuf stocks for holiday season.
