But I was asking if he actually tried to pull that one, because boy oh boy, that's lame.

Anything he does its lame and nothing has any merit. He just says stuff that he knows will aggravate people the more ridiculous the better. Nothing he can say would surprise me, because i'm pretty sure he doesn't believe it himself. He just knows it brings him views and people are falling for it.
