New Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy VII Remake screenshots shown at MAGIC 2017

That is, the Monaco Anime Game International Conferences.

Square Enix debuted new screenshots of Kingdom Hearts III showing Olympus and Final Fantasy VII Remake at Monaco Anime Game International Conferences 2017.  

 

Kingdom Hearts III

“This is the first time we show this screenshot of Kingdom Hearts III,” director Tetsuya Nomura said (via Gameblog.fr). “It’s happening in Thebes and they are fighting a new model of the Heartless. The Keyblade turns into a lot of things. Here it is a shield, but it can also be transformed into a chariot. This is called Power Form.”

  

 

Final Fantasy VII Remake

“Here is a new image of Final Fantasy VII,” director Tetsuya Nomura said (via Gameblog.fr). “I’ve put a lot of attention into the combat system, and it’s going to happen without interruption. In meetings, we’ve had a lot of problems with the grenades.” Nomura also mentioned that allies won’t take damage from grenades.

“Here is the first boss in the game,” Nomura continued. “It’s a Scorpion, and the scenery will be partly destructible. Sorry, I asked to show a video, but the company refused. The menus are not yet final, but I will talk more on another occasion.”

So, we waited all these years for a remake of FFVII only to get THIS? Sorry, not interested. Might as well fire-up the original once more.

Th combat system looks a lot like FFXIII. I'm imagining a mix between XIII and XV.

I've lost a lot of interest in FF after IX.  But regardless of the battle system, I'll be giving FFVII remake a fair shot.

You shouldn't. They already had their fair chance with the original and they blew it. They made up for it with VIII and IX but I think they had enough chances.

FFVII Remake should be greeted with utmost skepticism. First of all because it's FFVII and secondly because it's not a FVIII remake.
