I think if this were a Naughty Dog game it would get to middle 90s.

It appears the lack of a well craft narrative hurts the score more than any gameplay of graphical achievements.

May be only CD Project can pull this trick in a open world game.

That's odd because the narrative has been highly praised. Are you sure you're not Crapgamer? I'm serious. You seem to mirror him regularly and even use similar terms.

Well, I read a few of the lowest in MC, and this seen to be a general and vage complaint that is aplyed to any open world game.

I belive they are not much into open world games in general or the pressure to review the game so fast can affect their enjoyment. That has been my complain for a long time, that a good portion of critics focus so much in traditional and linear narratives.

And I don't know who is Crapgamer nor what are his opinions.

USgamer 50 = fake news :)

I usually think elsewise. You know that they reveiw a game so quick, that they don't have time to let it sink in. Same with movies. Reviewers come out of a movie theater and have a review up not an hour later.

How many movies have you enjoyed upon first watching or right after leaving and later just hate or find completely stupid? How many games did you think were GOTY when you beat it, yet can't even remember their names now or have no desire to ever pic up the game again.

You will notice that this game will probably drop a point or two. Initial reviews are usually always higher than ones that come later. That's in all media. RT scores always drop from their intial batch.

That Destructoid review was pretty bad.  It was nothing, just pure fluff.  I've read much better reviews from Chris Carter before, I'm sure of it.  It's super short and has very little in the way of details.

His main reason for giving it a low score is that it has "stuff you've seen before".  Not that this stuff is bad but rather that that you've seen it before.

"Horizon Zero Dawn is a fascinating premise wrapped in a tortilla of tropes. It has detective vision, radio towers, skill trees, masked load screens (Tony Hawk's American Wasteland gets no credit for popularizing this in 2005, by the way), and a world map littered with billions of points of interest -- all stuff you've seen before."

Skill trees?  Points of interest?  MASKED LOADING SCREENS?  How am I supposed to enjoy a game with skill trees and MASKED LOADING SCREENS!

Wonder if they will find Z:BoTW incredibly original.

My 8th gen collection

Scored a bit higher then I predicted, clearly a good game. I can only hope that it sells well now.

It just went up to 89 in Metacritic i hope it goes up one more so my prediction becomes true :D

VGChartz is utter crap here all day long, not loading anything properly and taking 5 to fucking 10 minutes to load a page, so yeah, I would have updated it earlier xP

Horizon sits at the at the 131th position out of 154 games with the 89 score, right now.

I thought it was just me! VGC has been a nightmare today.
