To be honest. As a PC gamer with Xbox as a secondary Platform... I haven't given two craps about a 3D metroid.

But a 2D metroid in the same vain as the Super Metroid on the SNES? All bets are off. I would be keen.

I think if it does happen, it needs to be 2.5D So 3D graphics, without Z axis movement. I'd tear that up!!

Of course, kind of like Tropical Freeze but with more advanced graphics

The meltdown would be big if they decided to "revive" the franchise with a 2D entry... especially on a poweful system such as the Switch.
