So, I probably have missed something, but there are two colours (red and blue, and grey) of Joy-Con controller sets then?

The rail part is currently grey even on the red/blue Neon Joycons. So it makes sense the straps are black

But you don't see the rail if you put the straps on it.

Absolutely. Though the buttons and joysticks are still dark. It's a better design choice to leave the straps black in my opinion. It's never too good to have too much of the same color.

Gamestop has just started to take pre-orders this monday, I think. They didn't have anything Switch, or even Nintendo related displayed at my local store, the first few weeks after the announcement, then suddenly, boom giant Switch banner.

You can pre-order them right now. They will be released on march 3rd.

Therefore I will buy a neon blue and a neon red strap additionally.
