I really can't stand Black Metal, though I love me some Death Metal. Top 3 DM albums.

Yep, all three of those are great! There's just something about that Cannibal Corpse album that I like more than their others (though I've never listened to anything post-Barnes).
ugh im a metal head but i cant stand this type of stuff. Im more into melodic metalcore... this my new addiction lately https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrOsPPb-xnc

And I myself am not a fan of metalcore.

Metalcore/Deathcore is cool. I've actually been listening to a lot of it lately. Some ear and eye candy.

I've personally never been into either of those, though I do like groove metal like Chaos A.D.-era Sepultura, Pantera and Machine Head. I also do like nu "metal", with Hybrid Theory and Meteora being two of my favourite albums of all time, but metalcore and deathcore I just can't really get into, though I do really like Turn the Other Way by Avenged Sevenfold.

KillSwitch Engage and A7X got me into metalcore, but my love for metal started with Thrash. Growing up I mostly listened to 80's hardcore bands, but always loved bands like Slayer, Metallica, Anthrax, Nuclear Assault, and Megadeth.
I actually had quite a few friends in high school that were all about Nu Metal, but it's easily my least liked sub genre of metal. Deftones and System of A Down are probably the only Nu Metal bands I could listen too, though I haven't listened to them since I was in highschool.
