Actually GTA 4 on PS3 will sell more and receive higher rankings than MGS 4.

MGS 4  will receive high review scores in the high 9's and sell up to 5 million copies in total. In time we will see what will happen ragrding MGS 4 in comparison with GTA IV regading both sales and review scores.

BTW: GTA IV review scores will be virtually impossible to match on the PS3. A whooping 99.8% review average. Well deserved? No, GTA IV is a  95% game in my opinion.

It's almost impossible to get more than 99 points. I thought even 99 was impossible and still can't accept it for any game, especially GTA4 in its current form. It has so many major flaws that don't make it a bad game but prevent it from being even close to perfect (100). 99 supposedly means only very minor flaws that could probably be fixed even with a simple patch. MGS4 will get ratings inferior to even Halo 3 (probably) because it's been hyped less and because Halo is more casual than MGS. And why do I mention this casual thing? Thought you'd already understood. More people will like it. Most people who say they hate casual games actually play them. Not the most casual but they can't stand even a bit more complicated game. Also, casual games have a bigger target market.

I think MGS4 will be the better game, but it's going to be difficult to get higher ratings than GTAIV got, it got a bunch load of 10's, so hopefully it does too.

GTAIV on 360/ps3 will always outsell it though but if you take into account just the ps3 sales, it should be pretty close.

The fact that it's the last MGS and the first for the ps3 should mean it sells very well.
