Forums - Nintendo - Sakurai wonders where the ‘new’ Nintendo characters are

ye i agree with you. but it is hard to come up with a memorable character. but there just might be one on the way, who knows if disaster day of crisis does really well it could become a franchise and the main character in it (with the really cool hair) could become a ninty fan favorite... who knows!

LOL!! I thought you where talking about yourself in third person there with the title:

Sakurai wonders where the ‘new’ Nintendo characters are

Soriku wonders where the ‘new’ Nintendo characters are

Not much difference.. lol

But yes you are totally right. It is about time we get some new characters with HC games... I really am starting to get annoyed with all these casual games being announced/released.

@RolStoppable - yes they do have the most but they are beginning to get tiresome, for me anyway, using the same characters over and over. Although this is not a bad thing, they still make the best games with these characters.

It's me...  no really, it IS me!!!

I agree. I hope Nintendo makes tons more hardcore series. I don't think AC and the casual games are character-driven at all obviously. They need to make a lot more epic games to set a bigger image for themselves but also stay in line with casual games part of the time as well so they grasp both the hardcore and casual easily.

You are absolutely right. The makers of SSBB had a really hard time to fill the roster of the game with memorable characters. I wish Nintendo would have as many great and famous characters as most other companies in the videogames business.

Yup. Sega Superstars Tennis totally blows SSBB out of the water.

The fact is if they churned out characters left right and centre (and possibly top and bottom too) then there wouldn't be many memorable ones.

I'm still waiting for my characters in the Matsuno x Monolith Soft Wii RPG...

alot of characters from rpg's don't live beyond their time-fram alot of the time. with a few exceptions of course like cloud from ff7 and lloyd from ToS, mainly because they don't use the same characters in sequels and such.

but i agree with you i'm eager to see what they are working on. hopefully it will be something truly memorable

What are these other companies that have as many notable characters as Ninty? Sega?

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Nintendo has the most memorable characters out of any company. They can take all the breaks they need. I'd like to see anybody else try to make a game with a roster half as big as Brawl.

Helpful hint: Sarcasm.

Exactly. It should have been a dead giveaway for everyone with the line "You are absolutely right" in response to a Soriku post.

Hey. Isn't it enough that the poor kid talks out of his ass all the time, you have to pick on him every time? The nerve of some people.

Hey. I haven't posted much since I got Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. I have to catch up a little on Soriku mocking if I want to meet my quota for the current fiscal year. Mario Kart is right around the corner after all.

Yeah, like we don't know you are posting through your CrazzyMan account, you.

I was wondering for a second why you have such a stupid avatar, but looking at your signature I assume that's the punishment for the lost bet. How long do you have to keep this avatar?

And while we are at it: What's the punishment for your other lost bet?

* cough * Look who's talking * cough *

Anyways :) It's just for 2 weeks and I have to keep the result in my signature forever. My second bet dictated that if I lost ( which I did spectacularly ) I'd change my signature to a "PSP is the best console ever" one for a week. I'm just waiting for the VGChartz Japanese numbers to make it official.
