I'd rather shop at EB Games than Game Stop! :3

And when I bought Xenoblade? The snarky, overly aggresssive hipster millenial decided to insult me because I insisted I didn't want to join their shitty "club"... or whatever it's called. He was like "Do you want..." and I go "No thanks, I'll just take the game" to which he replies with attitude "What... you don't like saving money?!?!" Pure... rage. I thought it would be fun to make a thread where we all come up with a word, words or entire sentence to describe what he'd all rather be doing instead of shopping at a Gamestop for our games. I'll go first. I'd rather sit front row at a Justin Bieber concert than shop at a Gamestop. |

OPs typical GameStop experience.

I live in a country where Nintendo doesn't even release it's consoles and the switch will probably make it here way into the future and it'll be a lot damn expensive.
Just a guy who doesn't want to be bored. Also

I would rather shop at Wal-Mart in the ghetto on Black Friday than shop at Gamestop/EBGames. This is not an exaggeration either.
Here's why. I do not buy used games at all, it is a waste of money imho. I also don't buy digital unless it is a PC game. If i get a game I need the physical copy, with instructions and it must be in pristine factory condition. Same goes for game consoles and movies.
I have never been to a Gamestop where the employees weren't pushy wanna-be know-it-alls. All the while most of the time the employees don't even know about the games they are trying to sell, unless it's COD, Assassins Creed, Halo, or the like. I despise the push for used game sales when I never want to buy a used anything from them. Most stores are understocked when it comes to anything new "unless you pre-order." Which brings me to another hatred towards Gamestop, the constant push to pre-order games. The employees always seem to try to bring up the up and coming games into conversation and then not so slyly suggest a pre-order. And damnit, I don't give a shit if I can buy 2 used games to get a third used game for free, I don't want used games, how many times do I have to tell you random employee!!!
Gamestop is just a terrible business with terrible ethics and bad anti-customer policies.
I will stick to Amazon.com or if I need to go to a physical store, Wal-Mart, Target, or Best Buy.

That is about the only thing they are good for if that. I don't like buying used disc online because I got burnt once or twice on supposed like new condition. Hell, I got burnt at Gamestop but took it right back. Funny thing was that I rarely shop there so when they asked for my rewards crap I told them no when buying. So when I was returning the disc the guy was like uh oh I need some info. At first I thought he was going to be like I can't exchange it for another disc but he just wanted some info for some reason to make the transaction go through. I had the receipt still and mentioned to him I was in there about 10 mins ago and bought it from a girl employee who eventually made her way up to the register. It wasn't bad but not sure why they need info to exhange a recently bought disc. I believe they still have the free 30 day warranty or something like that on used games.
Mainly I just wait a generation and buy up the games I missed for pretty cheap new off Amazon. Like right now is a good time to shop for PS3, 360 and Wii titles because in a few more years the prices will go up on most of the games if not already.

GS has better prices than Amazon from time to time when it comes to 7th Gen stuff. I'm saying this as an active Amazon Prime member. Also, buying a used disc is always risky, no matter where you buy it from. That is why it's best to get cart based games or if you know the disc is spotless

I'd rather be a billionaire than shop at the Gamestop
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
