Tomorow im having an operation on my big toe :(!!!
heres the back story - Okay, so 2 years ago i was pllaying football, and it came to a 1 on 1 with the keeper, i did a sliding tackle, and e did too, our feet met in the middle and my big toe got fractured :(. I went to the medical room at m school, and they made we wait for 3 hours while i sat there in pain (they cant give out painkilles.... not that i could have them anyway) then they sent me home whee i went to ER. They were reluctant to x-ray my foot cos they werent sure if it was broken or not and x-rays = BAD! so they then decided that the joint was just bruised.
2 years later, and 2 years of walking around on a broken toe i made an appointment with the hospital cos its bent the wrong way... so they the say sorry it was broken and it has healed in a broken position or something. My choices were to leave it to be like it is now forever and never be able to wear any sort of formal shoes, non paded trainers, or do more than half an hour of activity without huge amounts of blisters, or have an operation done fusing the end joint together (meaning i wont be able to bend the last joint). So i chose the later as i will appreciate it later in life.
But after the operation i will have to keep my foot above my heart fo 3 days solid, and i will then have to wear a special shoe for 4 months!!!!
heres how my toe looks now, il update when it done, it will have screws sticking out of the tip apparently o_0
