Forums - Gaming - How many of you actually buy the Limited Edition without the game?

I've been shopping around for Senran Kagura Estival Versus for the PS4 and came across an eBay listing that says:

"up for sale is the contents from the PS4 edition, Senran Kaguara Estival Versus, Endless Summer Edition video game. No game is included. included is the art box (shows minor wear) Art book (new condition) Game soundtrack (still sealed) and art cards (still sealed)."

"No game is included???" That's up with that? If you're selling a game that normally comes with bouns content, where the hell is the game? This guy probably sold the game to Gamestop and figured he'd get the extra cash for the content by itself. But not at $45 (HERE).

I could easily get it all for brand new on Amazon for less than $40. Unless he's specifically aiming for the market that originally bought the game digitally, this is a waste of effort and everyone's time in a poor attempt to cash in on the content. And in case you were wondering, I'll probably be placing an order with Amazon soon.

Thought this was about Capcom pulling this shit with RE7. It's not on and I can't imagine even absolute freaks even buying a collectors edition without the game - it kind of defeats the purpose of being a collector.

"You should be banned. Youre clearly flaming the president and even his brother who you know nothing about. Dont be such a partisan hack"

Never purchased a Limited Edition, let alone the LE with no games...

I used to buy the Halo special edition. I think they are a waste of money now and choose to stay away from Season Pack, Limited & Premium editions. I'd rather just buy more games.

Not me cause that's pretty wtf... If I am ever going to buy a limited edition, it has to come with a game unless its like a 3ds that has a limited edition skin for no additional cost than a regular 3ds.

As I am buying more and more games digitally I would absolutely buy the CE without the game at this point.

I bought that Sonic Mania LE even though it's a downloadable game. I thought the statue and little Genesis thing was neat. Didn't really care about the game, since it just gives you a downloadable code on a card. Even without that, I'd probably have bought it.

Only LE I've ever bought though, just cause it looked so neat.

Do you buy new car without wheels or a engine? Course not. Do you buy a new cell phone without a screen? Do you buy a new laptop without a motherboard? Of course not. So why would anyone be dumb enough to buy a LE/CE without the damn game? It's stupid. If you want a statue or something in a LE well good news LE's shoot down in price just a few months after launch. Despite being called limited they make a BUNCH of them. You will find them in Goodwill just a few months later at a fraction of the cost.

I can play the game without the CE. The CE has in no way shape or form requiremetn to the game.

I can play the game THEN get the CE.

I can't drive without the wheels. Nor sure I use the wheels without the car.

Your comparison is lacking in many ways.

LE entire point is to give you a bonus WITH the game. Buying it without the game at the same price they would have charged WITH it is being a sucker.
