Would it be considered a seperate game, or would it be counted to the originals total?

 I have reasons it could be both.

It would be seperate because rereleases are usually counted as a seperate game..

It would be combined because they are adding no extra content to the game, and are being emulated by the console it was originally released on(I think).

It would be interest if sales were combined, games like OoT might get pushed over 8 million, or games that fell just short of platinum now have a second chance to make it.

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Well, considering VC and PSN releases of PS1 games for PS3 and PSP are sold at about 1/8th the prise of the original release, it would be deceiving. People might decide to take combined sales, multiply the figure by 50$ to estimate the games total revenue. The discounted downloads would therefore skew them estimate by a lot.

well in that case the PS2's sales are deceiving... most games did not stay at full price for a very long time. Sony in general is much quicker to put games on a players choice type program than Nintendo is. So their sales are skewed compared to Nintendo's...

Both VGCharz lawyers presented cases. The Honorable DKII has made a ruling. Your only means for appeal is Chief Justice Ioi.

 

EDIT: In order to qualify for greatest hit status, a game had to be on the market for a MINIMUM of 9 months. It was up to third party publishers if they wanted to adhere to that, so some did not. Also, Greatest hits sold for between 50% to 66% discounts. Downloadable classics sell for about 1/8th the price.

I would count VC games as original as they are exactly the same, they're not getting new content or upgrades or anything.

They should not count at all. They would show up only as downloads similar how the Xbox Live Marketplace downloads gets tracked on this site.

Separted. Its just a port of with motion control. That would unfair to combine b/c of the different platforms.

Should we combine the PS3/360 versions of CoD4. They are exactly the same with no extra content between the two.

There is no motion control added. However, I agree it should be separate.
