Forums - Sony - The SIXAXIS officially discontinued-- HOORAY!

Sixaxes

Axes is the plural of Axis.

I can't understand everyone saying "I don't give a crap about rumble." Rumble is amazing! I love tactile responses in games. It makes collisions of any kind all the more real. In my opinion, the more senses video games use, the better. I can't wait for even better force feedback in the future, and I expect Nintendo to come with another revolutionary way to incorporate it into one of their next consoles.

Am I the only person that liked the light weight of the Sixaxis?

and all I have to say is thank God.

Lets get this straight: this isn't a bash on the PS3, it's a bash on the piece of crap SIXAXIS.

That thing just feels like a light plastic toy with motion controls that almost no games actually use in a good way or at least in a way that isn't better done by analog controls. Too bad it only took them a year and a half to realize that rumble isn't last gen and while the console is a toy, the controller shouldn't feel like a McDonald's toy.

-edit-

And since when did MTV start getting all these game news stories?  They've already ruined music I don't want them to ruin games too.

You do realise that the DS3 will support the motion controls as well, right?

@makingmusic

N I thought I WAS the only one who felt that it being less heavy was an advantage..

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

The Sixaxis has not moved at all here, everyone bought the Chillstream instead, and now they're gonna get the Dualshock 3.
What's the retail price of the Dualshock 3 btw?

 I also see it as a positive feature. Lighter is better.

I would have agreed with you a couple years ago.  But after playing without rumble for a while, if I play on my PS2 or Wii it just seems distracting.

Still waiting for a DS3 release date in PAL territories :|

 Yes I do, but now I'm not forced to use a shitty controller with only that, I can finally have at least the rumble I want.
