im on service pack 2 and no troubles for me as of yet (crosses fingers)
This thread should be locked since it's talking about a release candidate and not a final product meant for the general public.
A mod created it so it is fine. Mod's are gods they are above the rules of the forum. The mere mortals must comply with the rules.

I have ran into no issues with RC1 and i know what RC stands for... I know computers pretty darn well.
I have had Sp3 for a while now and nothing has gone wrong for me but then again I am one of those people that tried Vista and it worked like a dream for me.
This is the first time ever I have had Windows versions that didn´t give me any trouble at some point.

So... you installed a release candidate and ran into problems? Shocking. Despite that I wish I could help you; I can only assume other people have run into it too so perhaps Google may yet save you.
As an aside, Pidgin is a solid IM client. I actually switched to it from Trillian. Trillian Pro feels very clunky when handling multiple accounts. Everything else about it was solid though (and skins were great).
Anyway, I'll wait for a bit after the official release has been in the wild for a bit before jumping onboard.
@redspear how dare you question a mod on the forum. ssj12 knows more about PC's than most of us mortals on this site.
I was going to install date update but i was thinking to meslf that it might mash up me windows xp, i'm finking along the lines off the conversion rate of consumers going to vista is low so Microsoft are going to release an update to mash up XP an slow it down so you will turn Vista.
lets wait untill its completly finnished and i will wait fir the reviews in the forums

See the thing is I have been using the SP3 beta for a while. The jump from beta was from v3100 to v3300.
RC1 to RC2 was just v3300 to v3311. Should have just been code clean up. Its not shocking that there are bugs, jsut rather annoying that the minor code clean-up should have problems like this.

SSJ12 why didn't you tell us that the new firefox beta was released in the news section?
I was getting used to finding the new beta released on this website. You used to give a compact explanation of the improvements so I didn't have to do it myself.
