Yeah, this definitely doesn't reflect the general consensus in Japan.

yep, considering that Splatoon has sold more than any Zelda game in the last 30 years.

It was also a brand new alt that came out not even two years ago. As opposed to Zelda which hasn't seen at least for more than 5 years.

Splatoon 2 also doesn't have a release date where as Zelda is a release title.

Not to mention the confusion over "paid for" internet, voice chat etc.

Many, many reasons Zelda was chosen over Splatoon 2.

Sure, those are all legit reasons but i still have a hard time seeing Zelda (has been declining in Japan for a long time) being more anticipated than Splatoon (currently one of the most popular games in Japan) when it comes to the general consensus.

Why are 62% of them for a paid online service? I can understand not being against it. I mean, PS+ and XBLG offer me enough value (some of the time) to not be against them, but I'd still rather they were free so I'm definitely not for them being paid.

I think the Japanese have shown for a decade now how much they need to shower Nintendo with money. Paid online gives them the chance to spend even more money. Seems logical to me.

I agree. The more money that a company can make can lead to bigger and better things. Maybe a better online network in the future if they can earn enough from there online community.

Im a little surprised by these polls.
Doesnt seem like the japanese are all crazy happy about the switch as it is.
I was expecting a more positive reception than this.

No reason to bé surprised, i warned people, but they were taking me for a mad Man :(

Switch will have a hard Time replacing 3DS, especially since 3DS still has more exclusives coming during thé Switch launch year, something you never see, at best 3DS should share all thé games with Switch.... If its goal was to replace 3DS...

People are so much over estimating Switch thinking liké reaching 10M would bé an easy target
