The long awaited (okay 3 months) update to Pokemon Bank has just released on the Nintendo eShop worldwide. Unfortunately the application is currently undergoing server maintenance but will likely be ready for the morning. The update will include the following:

-The language setting with be reset (you can just select your language again, its really no big deal)

-The app can now be used with Sun and Moon

-Pokemon from B2W2, XY, and ORAS can be transfered up to Sun and Moon

-Pokemon from the Virtual Console Red, Blue, and Yellow games can be transfered to Sun and Moon. Gen 1 pokemon will be assigned 3 random perfect IV's, a random nature, and they have a possibility of having their Hidden Ability.

*NOTE: The app can still be used with XY and ORAS games alongside the newer games, but once a pokemon is transfered up to Sun and Moon, it can not go back.

**NOTE: It is unknown what will happen if Missingno or any other glitched pokemon from Red, Blue, of Yellow is transfered. So either proceed at your own risk when trying that.

i am suppose to be excited about this... but the competitive scene in sun and moon is very uhmm... i just couldn't grasp it very much esp with all those UB running around

oh my gosh yes, same exact feeling. This is the worst gen of pokemon for me.

tapus and ubs killed it for me...

too overpowered too little talent to use

Are UBs legal on the Battle Spot? I mostly pay attention to Smogon tiers; I don't like double battle or VGC at all.

I think Pokemon bank has some scanning type system so you can't transfer glitched or hacked Pokemon from Black/White 2 so I assume the same to be the case for the original RBY

I have to agree, they're very overcentralizing, but I play more casually so not too big deal for me. I really wish they would stop with the power creep though, this isn't Yugioh!

They and Tapus are. I think only the box legendarys aren't, atleast I've only ever seen them used while playing with special Pokemon allowed.
