Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 launch trailer, World of Final Fantasy ‘Sora’ DLC now available in the west 

The first Kingdom Hearts collection on PlayStation 4.

 

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue is now available for PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe.  

The collection includes the all-new, Aqua-focused Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage in addition to a high-definition remaster of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance and the Kingdom Hearts χ [chi]: Back Cover movie.

Additionally, the free “Sora” downloadable content for World of Final Fantasy is available starting today in North America and Europe. The additional content, which will only be available until March 31, adds Sora from the Kingdom Hearts series as a Champion summon.

I still have no idea what is going on with these games, even though I've been wanting to get into the series for a while. I'll get the game at some point and just hope it makes sense

I've played the two (real)numbered games and a couple spin offs and even watched a "story explination" on youtube.  And I still don't know what's going on in KH.

Honestly, I have very little desire for Kingdom Hearts, but I knew this would interest a lot here. I've heard that if you're an old school jrpg fan, I need to check this out. My issue is that I CANNOT see past taking on classic Disney characters (I'm more of a WB fan) in my party. I loved them as a kid, but they hold no sentimental value for me now.

I'm not super into Disney, but I do like the characters generally. I actually think Mickey is the most annoying from what I've seen, his voice grates on me.

It's a bad thing.  It's as expansive as FFXIII's storyline(a canyon) but just as dense(a thimble).
