Once u go OLED there is no going back to lcd

Vita's OLED was super-low quality though. Every unit had these ugly black spots that would only go away completely in very bright scenes. I like the LCD Vita a lot more because of that.

I think it's LCD.

My Vita OLED doesn't have them, it doesn't effect all screens. It looks pretty amazing to be honest however going back to the Switch screen all accounts say it is an excellent LCD screen, Nintendo haven't gone cheap for the screen at least.

LCD IPS screen.

It's IPS LCD, still the best LCD screen on the market. (Am-)Oleds are still expensive and quality decrease faster then LCD

depends on usage - in TVs and monitors VA (vertical alignment) LC displays often get better ratings due to their higher contrasts/deeper blacks
in mobile devices IPS is probably still superior due to better viewing angles

It's less crazy once you think about Nintendo not relying as much on dark color palettes in their games. As far as I remember, OLED screens consume more power the brighter the screens are, which makes sense considering that they don't rely on a separate backlight.
Plus, I'd be angry at them if it turned out they went with a (relatively) cheap pentile AMOLED screen...RGB or bust!
