Those 2 games are pretty good
PS surely doesn't want to start losing much momentum. They know themselves how hard it is to build that momentum back up and they've seen it first hand this gen with XB and how hard it has been for them. With Switch launching soon, and Scorpio later this year, keeping sales fairly stable is more important than anything. Especially for Pro. PS4 will be cheap enough holiday 2017 that it will be hard to keep in stock. Pro however needs to build more momentum and keep it by the time Scorpio arrives, otherwise it will end up in the back seat. The sooner Pro sales get to where they should be this year, the less PS has to bundle or price drop to compete against Scorpio later on.
PS1 - ! - We must build a console that can alert our enemies.
PS2 - @- We must build a console that offers online living room gaming.
PS3 - #- We must build a console that’s powerful, social, costs and does everything.
PS4 - $- We must build a console that’s affordable, charges for services, and pumps out exclusives.
PRO -%-We must build a console that's VR ready, checkerboard upscales, and sells but a fraction of the money printer.
PS5 - ^ -We must build a console that’s a generational cross product, with RT lighting, and price hiking.
PRO -&- We must build a console that Super Res upscales and continues the cost increases.
The thing is, these aren't Sony deals. These are retailer specific deals. It's almost time for people to start getting tax returns. They're leaving money on the table.
